Neuromodulator Treatments: Botox/Dysport
What you need to know:
Who is a candidate?
Anyone who wants improvement in fine lines/wrinkles. Not for pregnant or breastfeeding patients or those who have an allergy to Botox or Dysport.
Dysport contains trace amounts of cow’s milk protein, so individuals with a known allergy to cow's milk protein should avoid Dysport injections.
What is it?
Neuromodulator Treatment (Botox/Dysport) involves injecting small amounts of botulinum toxin into specific facial muscles and are FDA approved for some areas of the face. These injections temporarily relax the muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, particularly around the forehead, eyes, and mouth, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
